항공기 승무원 지망생을 위한 교육공간
해당 프로젝트는 항공기 승무원 지망생들을 위한 교육 공간 조성을 목표로 진행되었다. 이에 따라 내부 공간은 항공기에서 발생 가능한 다양한 위험 상황에 대응할 수 있도록 실제 상황과 유사한 환경을 조성하기 위해 노력했다. 프로젝트에서 각 공간은 비상착륙, 비상탈출 슬라이딩장, 비상착수 훈련장, 비행기 화재진압 훈련실 등 다양한 승무원 교육공간으로 구성되며 이를 통해 한 건물 안에서 다양한 승무원 교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 하였다.

비행안전교육을 위한 특수공간
비행안전센터에서 특히 눈에 띄는 공간은 비행기 객실을 그대로 형상화한 Mock-Up실과 건축물 내부 3층에 위치하는 수상훈련장이다. Mock-Up실을 통해 항공기 승무원 지망생들은 실제상황과 동일한 환경에서 다양한 비행안전 교육에 더욱 집중할 수 있으며 건축물 내부에서 완벽한 항공기 객실 환경을 경험할 수 있다. 또한 3층에 조성된 수상훈련장은 항공기 승무원이 경험할 수 있는 다양한 위험상황에 대처할 수 있도록 교육 환경을 제공한다. 

입면계획
해당 프로젝트의 입면 계획은 내부공간의 성격이 자연스럽게 노출될 수 있도록 진행되었다. 비행안전 교육공간이라는 특수한 공간의 성격을 전면 입면계획으로 표현하려하였고 이에 따라 항공기 날개를 형상화한 Y자 형태로 돌출되는 입면계획이 진행되었다. 또한, 입면 마감 재료를 선택하는 것에 있어서도 실제 항공기와 유사한 소재인 알미늄 복합 판넬을 사용하여 기능성을 확보하고 공간의 정체성을 나타냈다.

2. KEYWORD

Education space for aspiring flight attendants
The project was proceeded with a goal of creating education space for aspiring flight attendants. Accordingly, the inner space was designed to make similar environment to that of actual circumstances so as to make them respond to diverse dangerous situations which can be possible to happen in aircrafts. In the project, each space was created diverse education spaces for flight attendants including emergency landing, ejection sliding, ditching training ground, aircraft fire suppression training room and others, and by using these spaces, numerous educations for flight attendants can be provided within one building.

Special Space for Flight Safety Training
In the flight safety center, the Mock-up room which exactly embodied actual aircraft cabins and the water training field located on the 3rd floor inside of the building are remarkable. In the mock-up room, aspiring flight attendants can concentrate on diverse flight safety educations in the same environment of the real situations and experience a perfect flight cabin environment inside of the building. Also, the water training field built on the 3rd floor provides education environment for flight attendants to respond to various emergencies that they can experience in reality.

Elevation Design
The elevation design for the project was made to expose the inner space’s traits naturally. The nature as a special space for flight safety education was reflected on the front elevation, and accordingly, an elevation design protruded in Y-shape to symbolize flight wings was proceeded. Also, even when selecting finish materials for elevation, aluminum composite panel which is similar to the one of actual aircrafts was used, and functionality was acquired and identity of the space was represented.
